TP53 MASTR - Multiplicom

For the identification of TP53 gene mutations

The TP53 MASTR identifies SNVs and small indels in the coding region of TP53. TP53 is the most frequently mutated gene in cancer and testing for TP53 mutations is advised in the clinical guidelines for multiple cancers.

NGS-based analysis of TP53 mutations has a wide variety of clinical and research applications:

  • Germline mutation detection
  • for cancer predisposition testing (e.g. Li-Fraumeni syndrome)
  • Somatic mutation detection
  • for molecular tumor classification and as prognostic biomarker
  • for prediction of therapeutic success (e.g. TP53-targeting drugs and MDM2 inhibitors)
  • for clonality analysis to discriminate primary tumors and metastases

Multiplicom’s TP53 MASTR assay is a ready-to-use kit with robust performance and minimum hands-on time. All reagents necessary to enable multiplex amplification of 17 amplicons (176-260 bp) in 2 PCR reactions are included.

The assay builds on Multiplicom’s expertise of multiplex assays and works with DNA derived from clinical samples, including blood and FFPE samples. The assay is compatible with current MPS systems, providing the flexibility to choose your preferred method.

Note: This assay is to be used for research use only.
