The Biolegend LEGENDplex COVID-19 Cytokine Storm Panel 1 and 2 run on the Agilent Penteon
flow cytometer was used to quantify the secretion of 27 cytokines, providing an in-depth snapshot of the cytokine response. Intracellular cytokine staining using flow cytometry provided additional information to determine the frequency of cytokine-producing cells and identify the cell populations producing cytokines. Using both bead-based cytokine production quantification and intracellular cytokine assays provides a deeper understanding of the cytokine response by immune cells.
